I contacted Dr. Roy Mackal in the 1980s in the hopes of going on one of his expeditions. Although I was”nt qualified enough to join, I was still very much interested in the search. I read his book and learned he suspected many other dinosaur species also habituated the Congo. I never knew that as he never mentioned the other possible dinosaurs candidates when I talked to him.

man from this whole story the part that hurt me the most was the guy that forgot to take the lens cap of his video recorder while an encounter happened and lasted about 20 minutes. i do photography and video as a hobby and i know i would be cursing if that happened to me.

I have to wonder that if they did absolutely locate a living dinosaur without any doubts if they would want to , or be allowed to , make that information community property ?!?! Remember what happened after the movie “ Jaws” ? Hunters & the curious sailed out in the thousands ! I’m not sure the governments involved would welcome that type of tourism.

Fun fact, the congo basin is least explored compared to the Amazon rainforest is , so it's not really surprising to think that Dinosaurs are still roaming in the most isolated deep areas of the Jungle swamps of Central Africa

I’ve heard about “ghost elephants” the Congo and Amazon are prob the only places that could still hide dinosaurs
