  Correction: We state saltwater crocodiles can reach "about twenty three feet." The verified world record is Lolong, measured at 20'3" (6.17m). No scientifically confirmed specimen has exceeded that.

  Fun fact, my grandpa's brother was actually one of the earlier explorers of Papua New Guinea. A little anekdote from one of his books is that he met with a tribe chief who used to be a cannibal, when asked why he had stopped, the man gave a toothless smile. As for it being a deadly place, he died of yellow fever.

  Ticks have been discovered to use ELECTROSTATIC effects to jump on hosts - the host is negatively charged by moving through the vegetation ; the insect waits with outstretched limbs to detect the passing host; a tiny jump of the insect, otherwise insufficient, is helped by electrostatic charge to reach the victim. &nbsp;It could be said that the victim is Pulling the bloodsuckers to himself.!<br>How about a tiny little high-voltage electronic generator (less than $5 for a cheap one, $10 for a stronger) coupled to shoe threads on one side, and the other to an overall suit with a grid of carbon fiber (the kind used for electronics manufacturing to protect sensitive parts). &nbsp;That would at first attract insects, and on contact charge them at the same potential, which subsequently would REPEL them (like repels like). &nbsp;<br>It&apos;s EASY to experiment like that!
