23:30 I think the directors said that once someone starts killing themselves, the other person is hypnotised and can't look away

It’s hypnosis y’all. Them people can’t move/run away if they wanted to.

For anyone wondering why Skye can't just leave Lewis' apartment it's because the Smile entity has a catatonic ability that stiffs and paralyzes the next victims' movement. That's why they are forced to watch.

sky stayed in the apartment because of the amount of pain her back was causing her. She said later that because she was an addict no one will prescribe her anything stronger then Advil, which does absolutely nothing for a body surgery like that. so she was genuinely just trying to get pain medication for her back. As you see later she is in recovery and is still trying to stay off of substances. this is unfortunatly something that happens far too often, and because western medicine is obsessed with Opioids there's not much to do for addicts in serious pain.

I feel like smile 3 would be more of a post apocalyptic movie, because if that parasite spread trough so many ppl, I can't even imagine all the ppl that are gonna be trippin and die in next few days and keep on spreading it...
