  Sweet!  I had to head in to work that day and zipped through XNA and went past it about 15 minutes before it opened, then again a half hour after.  Definitely interesting seeing all the cars cruising in from the South and the new light there on 264 is exactly what we needed to keep everyone safe.

  Thank you for this video! I do believe you were the first motorcycle on the new highway. I didn't get to drive on it until about  11pm but it was still great to drive on new interstate highway, especially here in NW Arkansas, so Thank you again!

  In 1992, I rode my 1985 suzuki gs450L on I 49 from Alma to Mountainburg before it was paved. The bridge at Mountainburg was halfway built so I rode up to the edge.

  You were correct about 412 becoming I-42 eventually. The Springdale bypass (brand new I-42) ends west of Tontitown at 412 - all of 412 west of that point all the way to I-35 sixty miles north of OKC will be designated I-42 as well. There’ll have to be a bypass built around Siloam for it to happen though.

  I was the first street bike with street tires on I440,I went on it while the bridges were still settling years before they paved it. Im just glad I had dual pipes and one on each side because I ended up pushing it in first gear in many sections 😂. I went back on my enduro but dirt bikes had already been on some of it.

  I get a kick out of the fact that ArDOT only switched the 612 shield for an I-42 sign on the overhead sign on I-49. Usually Interstate control cities list “big” cities, even if the road isn’t finished there yet. Long of the short, take I-42 to get all the way to…Cave Springs!

  Everything is always about northwest Arkansas. Everything used to be about central Arkansas. Several decades ago the planned I69 started but has never finished in Arkansas even though Memphis has been completed along with Mississippi progress but Arkansas completely stopped.
