Fun fact, not really spoilers because it's a reference to Undertale. The Old Man is actually the one who trained Undyne in that world, that's why he's called the Hammer of Justice, and Undyne is the Spear of Justice.

wait till he realises he couldve just waited for the "losing" cutscene to end to quickly retry the secret boss instead of quitting the game every time he lost

 Undyne is his successor

“What did i miss”? Not much. Honestly people should just stop getting mad when a YouTuber misses something. Let them play how they want, yknow?

A note about the secret boss:

Despite what they say after you win or lose, Susie won’t actually take her prize. Just like you, she still wants it but she actually wants to beat them herself and earn it that way, so basically nothing happens if you “lose” the fight, you’re just free to keep coming back until you win it yourself.

Though, that’s not to say nothing changes, you get a little dialogue change acknowledging whether or not you “first try”’d them.

Hey, spoiler-free note regarding the chapter:
Once you complete Chapter 4, reopen your save file and there should be something new waiting. You’ll figure out the rest from there.

37:10 for this chapter you’re on pace to get everything. HOWEVER, as I’m sure someone else has already told you, if you go back to chapter 3, you can actually “beat” the knight if you deal a quarter of their HP to them, and you get another ShadowCrystal and a weapon for beating them.

For the record, you didn’t have to quit the game whenever you lost the fight. If you lose, the old man says that he’ll give you the axe and crystal for free, but Susie refuses and insists that he only gives it to her after they rematch and she finally wins. From there, the game lets you retry from the start however many times you need until you beat him.
