An emotional and honest documentary that brings home the reality and suffering of war to those families who lost loved ones and to those who saw it first hand on both sides, listening to their experiences should bring a tear to the eye of any one who see this.

Often overlooked, but Lord Carrington .. had the guts to accept responsibility.
Can you imagine that happening, with today's politicians?

Thx for a well balanced report. It helped to correct many misconceptions that I previously had.

I still remember seeing this on a VHS tape. A must watch documentary on the 1982 Falklands War and I'm glad it wasn't banned on British TV.

A great documentary. Shows how war is only appealing to those who have not experienced it.

That Argentine Soldier going on about the Marines lacking motivation. There's a book out at the moment, called The Frist Casualty. It states that the Marines really hammered the Argentinians in the battle for Stanley during the invasion. Plus 45 Commando walked across East Falkland each carrying over a 100 pounds of kit and fighting a battle at the end of it. How's that for a lack of motivation senor.

This documentary is great! I loved all of the footage, which a lot of it looks like it was the personal home movies of those who fought in the war. Glad a lot of this was well preserved and made its way here.

I've watched this doco so many times. It's great that they gave the Argentine perspective, and took the trouble to interview Argentine personnel. Big respect to the good honest bloke who said "I just can't see them as the enemy" - that's cos they, like all militaries, are just pawns of the politicians.

Now, that's what you call a documentary.
