  The ghosts in Benirus manor have grand souls after level 19 or 20 and respawn every few days. So I just bought the house and left it haunted to use as a soul farm

  In my playthrough of the original Oblivion (and in my current playthrough) I used the Bravil house as my starter home, just for storage and a place to sleep when I was ready to level up. My mom would be in the same room, usually knitting while reading, when I was playing the game. When I moved to a nicer in-game house, I told her that I was giving her the Bravil house for her retirement home. I would make a point of keeping any yarn I found in the game and dropping them off in Bravil for her.

  Drop a single torch on the floor, leave, fast travel then return. The torch will now be lit, filling the area with a cosy light. You can move it and place to your liking. Every home can be decorated using the telekinesis spell.

  The idea that you can't buy a roman style villa in the imperial city has bothered me for all these years. The BIGGEST and MOST IMPORTANT city in the game has a freaking shack on the outskirts as the only player home.... like WHY?!?!!?

  When I played the original Oblivion, I loved the Anvil House because I roleplayed my character as a necromancer, that basement is perfect for me.

  They fixed the Bruma fireplace! Fun fact; In the original Oblivion the Bruma homes fireplace was unlit which was always ironic given Bruma is the coldest city in the game and all

  Honestly another huge downside of Frostcrag is the fast travel spawn point. Every time I want to stop by to drop loot and replenish, I have to run all the way up the mountain, up two sets of steps, through the front door to a load screen, and then another load screen for either the vault or living area portal. It would benefit GREATLY from a dedicated fast travel point that leads directly to the portal to the living chambers on the top of the tower

  the imperial waterfront shack is the default home, like breezehome in skyrim, the "perfectly acceptable" home that some may choose to leave, others may not
