I was around in the seventies and drunk driving was widely considered normal so the doctor not preventing Willie from driving drunk was far from abnormal back then.

This is why it's so hard, when you don't find the body? Despite when there's obviously suspicious circumstances!!

Awesome vid Shadow Matter. The prevailing theory around William Tyrrell is that he died accidentally (it's suspected that he fell off the balcony) and his body was taken away and concealed by the foster family to avoid losing the custody of their other foster children. The NSW police even recommended charges against the foster family. If you're looking into doing another video of missing Aussies perhaps you could check out Julie Cutler, vanished one night in Perth in the 80s, her car was found later in water at the beach, with cigarette buts that weren't hers, she was never found and was initially suspected to be a victim of the Claremont Killer. There are a number of unsolved homicides and long term missing persons, all young women in Perth in the 1980s and 1990s, and many people believe there was one or more active serial killers in the area at the time. Keep up the great vids man!

Honorable mention - the Schooner The Patanela and its crew of 4 vanishing on November 8, 1988 just off the Sydney coast. State of the art boat. Highly experienced Captain. No weather issues. Location and route that the Captain could do with his eyes shut. There's a book on this case by investigative journalist/sleuth Robert Reid: Patanela is Missing, Australia's Greatest Sea Mystery. I have that book in my hand right now. You can still order it from Reid's website. The more I read it the more I am inclined to say it was pirates. Theories range from a tanker collision, pirates, carbon monoxide poisoning, rogue wave, Captain going mental [he had serious financial issues at the time] and taking everyone out.

There was a case several months later (from the Beaumonts) where two children went missing at a football game held at Adelaide Oval.

Would love if you did a deep dive into Rogerson's life & crimes/corruption! I worked at a factory on the same street as the storage units in Padstow NSW where Roger Rogerson & Glen McNamara murdered/dismembered Jamie Gao in corrupt drug deal! I can remember when a police bus pulled up and police, court officers, investigators, stenographer etc came out and were being shown around the storage units and where Jamies car was left abandoned, all taking photos and notes etc in preparation for the court case! Was super interesting and crazy to have been so close to it!

I always feel for family and friends when a missing person vanishes and never found. It’s so incredibly sad😢

william tyrrell’s case is something that my mum and i have never stopped talking about since it happened. my family and i were nearby on the same day he vanished and i was only 2-3 years older than him. the morning after he disappeared my mum was speaking to another mum at the hotel pool while i was swimming with other kids. they were both shaken and relieved it wasn’t one of their children, especially knowing he’s been gone almost 11 years now without a trace

The Frankston tynong north killings where you showed pictures of victims were actually the victims from the Truro murders in South Australia
