Hey Joe, thanks so much for your detailed review! We're really happy to hear you like our ADAM D3Vs :) We can understand your wish for a sub-out connector. For using the D3Vs with an additional subwoofer, they need to be hooked up via the balanced TRS inputs instead of the USB-C connection. All the best from Berlin!

Passive radiator distortion usually sounds better than port noise so I think it’s a good design choice for a small speaker

Great review! I love that you showed the measurement results with the different settings, and were able to really see how far they go in the bass.

Nevermind the one dimension of low frequency response, the imaging and sound stage of these is ridiculous. I'm so happy I forked over a little more for these instead of the iLouds. I downsized from some 6.5" monitors that wouldn't image properly unless you were sitting 6 feet away, and I don't have that luxury. These absolutely slay, and I actually prefer their sonic delivery over my other ones, at least on my desk with a 3' triangle. They sound utterly huge for their size. I may have lost a full octave in the lowest lows, but for critical mixing, these still deliver in spades. I can simply check on another system or headphones if the bass is in check.

Great monitors ,even  at the low volume you still can hear sub bas, great for nearfield mix.

THE thing they mis is Power Delivery via USB-C, this would make this set a total game changer and no brainer

Always love your comprehensive reviews Joe! These look pretty good other than the no sub out

ADAM known mainly for making audio monitors so they probably wouldn't have Bluetooth because of the latency that tends to come with it still
