I’ve met rich rich people and I’ve met “thinks they’re better than everyone” rich people. The only difference is how well their parents raised them

On the horse story I don't trust the mom either because of what she said when the kid answered the phone. The mom's first reaction when finding out her child was with a random woman was to ask what did you tell her. To me it just sounds like the mom is trying to make sure that the kid isn't telling this lady what actually happened and told her a sanitized version. She also immediately sorta justifies the dad's decision to kick him out cuz she's immediately like did you tell the lady that you got kicked out cause you were being bad. Then when she actually goes and gets her kid she again tries to justify what the dad did and then deflects to blaming the dad alone when she realizes this lady will not accept the it was okay cuz the kid was being bad excuse. I don't trust either of the kids parents

When I was a teen, my first boyfriend's dad and stepmom "forgot" about him for Easter and only his half siblings got baskets/gifts. When I told my dad, he loaded me up into the car and we made the 30 minute drive to Walmart, put together a basket for my boyfriend, and then we drove it to him. You've gotta do what you can to make up for the shitty parents of the people you care about. Little gestures matter.

When I was about 10-12 ish I pissed off my dad by begging for ice cream. He dropped me off at the top of the neighborhood and made me walk the bike trail back home.

I was in a leotard and tights because I was coming home from dance. I specifically remember crying while walking home, seeing a strange man start walking behind me, and booking it for my house. My dad claims he sent my brother after me on his bike to make sure I made it home, but I have no memory of that. Traumatizing stuff. Yes it was my neighborhood and a familiar path but I was a little girl walking around in a leotard crying. I don’t really speak to my dad anymore 😆

I was kicked out of the car once as a teenager because my mom was pissed. We were close to home, but i started walking away instead, and that did indeed cause more problems

Oh, the mom in the last story is totally covering her butt! Her first concern was what her son told the stranger, not if he was okay. She wasn't concerned about her son's safety with a random stranger, nor did she thank the stranger for keeping her son safe. Her concern was basically, "What did you tell them about us?" and "Did you make sure they would blame you and not us?" Then she immediately told the stranger, "He was being disrespectful and swearing." after the kid was out of ear shot. So, who knows if what she was saying was true. The casual "Ha! Tell me about it." in regards to her husband's behavior as she was trying to get away from the stranger? She's not sorry at all! She's just trying to charm/manipulate that person into thinking everything is fine and not calling CPS. If she was being abused, truly disagreed with her husband's behavior, or truly cared about her son more than her reputation, she would not be as confident and charming in that moment. Someone who truly cared would at least have shown some signs of remorse or embarrassment.

31:20 my mom has made me walk quite a few times. This is why we don’t go anywhere near each other now. She left my brother in a field one time. “My parents did it and I’m just fine” didn’t actually work out so great and they are, in fact not fine.

That first OP literally spilled the tea. The title made me think she was gossiping about the line-jumping entitled person.

10:21 manager is ALWAYS the last to leave. That manager needs to be talked to. This kind of situation is exactly why they are the last to leave.
