Parents like to brag to other parents. Nothing new. These people in the story gained nothing in dissing the daughter unless they did not like her moving back to the house. My kids moved back a few times, during COVID and after they graduated. They want to save up for a non PMI house down payment. Mind you they make more than I do. I didn't charge them rent and fed them like when they were kids. I did not expect them to pay me back and they probably won't. Such is life.
