Its a lot of years ago. I purposely drove out to Cape Ann during a Nor'easter. The bit of shore I went to was undeveloped,, a place that in summer people brought their lobster and clams and spent the 4th out on the rocks. No sand, no beach. During the storm, at night, I pushed through the trees that bordered that shore,, and the waves were thundering right up into the trees. And I watched a rock slab, the size of a school bus, solid granite, in a slightly different position after each wave. Ya wanna know power? Watch a chunk of granite 10 X 10 X 40 feet 300 to 400 tons, shoved around like a piece of driftwood.

Thanks as a New Englander who has lived on Cape Cod for the past 36 years and summered there since the early 1950s I've lived through many N'or Easters and hurricanes since before Hurricane Bob and "THE PERFECT STORM" since 1991 the last big ones 35 years ago As a "landlubber" not a fisherman. Time to batten down the hatches, real clam chowdah weatha! Keep safe and follow whats said...better safe than sorry! š

Thank you for keeping us posted on this storm that is coming to not only the islands and beaches but to our cities and towns as well. I live in the Hampden county in Massachusetts. I am always keeping an eyes and ears open for storms coming our way. I watch the weather forecast everyday.

I live at Norfolk, VA.. I didn't notice rain..just non-stop wind. There were power outages Wednesday and Thursday, in my area.
