  This song still gives me goosebumps all these years later. They were nominated for a Grammy for this song. Steve was suffering from a hip injury and was in serious pain during the filming of this video. You should listen to Why Can’t This Night Go on Forever. That still brings tears to my eyes.

  This song was the first and only Journey Grammy nomination. It is the last video Steve made with the band. He was in extreme pain, in need of hip surgery.

  Steve Perry is a powerhouse vocalist no matter what he sings, and he touches your soul deep down. I danced to one of his songs for my wedding dance with hubby ... the band and Steve parted ways; it was their mistake. He was with them for 13-14 years ... Steve went solo and was very successful for 10 years ... but he walked away from the fame due to health, and he said he was burnt out completely from many years being in the business. He never married, but his long term partner fought cancer for many years &  she passed ...

  You have no idea what you're seeing before your eyes and ears, because a legion of fans who grew up in the era of Journey will tell you that you don't just hear Steve Perry with his powerhouse vocals you feel him.  The don't  have a bad song you would love to take a deep dive getting to hear Journey  and Steve Perry's soaring vocals.  Listen to them live in concert there is something magical that happens when you watch them live you'll  see it in the audience.  It's  captivating.  I recomend Wheel in the Sky the song that started it all and that thrust them into super stardom, Mother Father live from Houston 1981 off the Escape Tour, Don't Stop Belivin',Faithfully, all from that same concert.  Journey on!

  Still gives me chills, and tears at the same time.  No one can deliver a power ballad like Steve Perry! The man was, is, and will always be the best! I highly recommend listening to "Mother, Father", and "Still They Ride". Steve's voice soars to spectacularly haunting heights.
