  As a sex-averse asexual I’m genuinely so fucking tired of ppl assuming that my personal preferences are interchangeable with my world views 😭😭😭 I don’t like the idea of sex and I don’t wanna be sexually involved w anyone, but that doesn’t make me a puritan 😭 I promise you I cannot care less about how much sex people are having, that’s literally none of my business, I just PERSONALLY don’t want to have sex oh my godddd

  Why do they never talk about anything of importance when it comes to Gen Z? The job market is in the trenches; we're losing our reproductive rights; housing, groceries, and gas cost an arm and leg. But sure, let's talk about Gen Z's "puritanical" sex lives cause that's totally more important 💀

  When people talk about Gen Z&apos;s lack of sexual activity, <b>many</b> don&apos;t realise that many Gen Z have a lack of privacy, health concerns, do not acknowledge asexuality and have unhealed trauma about online predators. Many Gen Z still live with their parents or with roommates. Many don&apos;t feel safe enough to bring a partner home and be intimate when someone is a wall away.

  Another point, less important than things like women&apos;s reproductive rights being taken away and young people just not being able to afford anything, but something i feel like is often ignored:<br>Its kind of insane to me that gen z spent like 2 years of their kid/teen/young adult years, literally only like 6 years ago, where if we stood too close together we could get a virus that has literally killed millions, and then suddenly the government decided they were bored of it and we were just told to stop and move on like none of it happened? Suddenly all the adults around us seemed to forget it ever happened? Like of course there are going to be issues with physical aspects of relationships, it&apos;d be weirder if there wasnt

  as an ace gen z, when i see statements of &apos;normal amount of sex&apos; and claims of &apos;less/no sex equals puritanical&apos; its clear this person is still enforcing aphobic ideals that are meant to box people into &apos;what is the right amount of sex&apos; and deviation causing fear and confusion. the normal amount of sex is what is comfortable for the people engaging with it

  I think that before people start talking about gen z being too puritanical they should do research on the meaning and culture. Too many times it seems like people are peeved that younger women aren&apos;t as sexually available or demand a certain level of respect which would ironically be contributing to purity culture. You cant critique a single generation for something like this. Its the underlying rot in our culture.
