I still remember how shocked I was the first time seeing snake bracelets at the Museum of Fine arts in Dallas many years ago .. shocked because to my eyes it was as good craftsmanship as you would find in a modern high end jewelry shop. Skill is skill I guess.

It surprises me how many people don't clean their diamonds and their settings .....<br>I love diamonds and love them to sparkle as much as possible

Depending on what one likes any piece of jewelry can sell high or low. It depends on who is willing to pay the price. My mothers jewelry is priceless to me. Somebody else would think it’s nothing. But for me. You cannot replace it given it was from my ancestors. My ex-sister in law stole my great aunts cameos and pearls. I hope she suffers for it. It wasn’t left to her. They were left to me cause they meant something to me. I loved my grandmothers aunts and uncles. And especially my mom. She was beautiful without gems. She was the jewel❤

Those jewelry appraisers only value the pieces however they don't guarantee to sell those pieces directly to the customers with the appraisal prices. In the real world, the selling prices only are worthy 1/2 or 1/3 of the appraisal value unless the jewelries are sold through the big auctions. So, these are for the show. The big auctions are another business, which are far from the normal people.
