  The silver beast has awakened! 😝Good stuff. I dropped a comment a few videos ago about where to get that starter clutch but I'm not sure it actually posted. Looks like you figured it out. Always go there first to look for rare parts.😉

  Gidday mate! &nbsp;🙋‍♂️<br>Nice that it started easily but sad that it’s logged a fault code… probably something consequential of a disconnection. Paper clip it and find out.<br>Just regarding your cam chain, I’ve replaced mine at 110,000kms and it was quite stretched, my Busa came with a manual tensioner and if it was installed incorrectly (too much tension) that can prematurely wear the chain out too. <br>Is your tensioner OEM or aftermarket manual type? The Early Gen 1 tensioners had a recall on them for failures. <br>By the way, it is possible ( but difficult) to replace the chain in place without lowering the engine… I did mine in place but wasn’t easy. I also replaced the tensioner blade coz it looked worn.<br>Also, you must check the cam bearings for wear and noisey operation. Mine were quite worn so I replaced them as well.<br>It quietened the chain and cam noise down considerably. I bought Japanese NTN bearings from a local supplier, but they have to be pressed off the cams, and new ones pressed on the cams. Quite the job but all doable. <br>Happy Friday mate! Kiwi 🙋‍♂️

  The old Gen 1 looks mega. I&apos;m biased though as I have a Gen 2 and love em. Awesome bikes. The gen 1 air filter looks the same sort of thing as my 750 Srad. Instead of grease, could you not stick some foam around the bottom of the filter? Like draft excluder or similar.

  good to see the busa up and running kev try putting more fuel in the busa tank the fuel gauge migth &nbsp;move just saying thats what happen with my cbr1000f that had been sitting still for 10 years be for i got it up and running agin

  Could the dead fuel gauge be related to your wiring?<br><br>I find that gen 1 &apos;busas seem to either be retired from road use and turned into dedicated drag racing bikes or stored in garages. They still have desirability, especially the unrestricted 99-00 models.

  Nice video Kev the old busa you can’t kill em over the past 27 years I’ve had around 10 busas ,and they have all been super reliable,atm I have a 99 busa,13 busa 08 bking and of course my tlr,my busas seem to be much reliable than the tlr,have you checked if your fuel sender isn’t stuck for sitting for 2 years
