  I wasn’t clear in my edit. We saved £16k buying two pre registered vans. £28,500+VAT each. That’s the same price we paid for our 2021 T6.1 Highline but this has heated sets, rear cameras and LED headlights as standard. Given we are in a world of huge increases in costs that’s pretty remarkable.

  “Better looks and no wet belt” I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. The after market accessories companies will fix the former though I’m sure and only time will tell on the latter, I’m normally an early adopter but I think I"ll wait this one out.

  Great video.I have had new transit a year and drive is exactly how you say. As somebody said to me the other day _ Vans are now designed and built by accountants _ and that sums up the build quality of these.Customers will get on board sooner or later.The VW warranty will help sell them but long term customers will hate the build quality they are like a poor mans vivaro and thats why £28500!!

  Loved driving my last gen transit such a funn handling not just a van but a car, way better than a T5 that I drove.

  Good video and commentary well done… note only very low spec SWB Transporters were built in the Polish plant at Poznań - no LWB made there nor more sophisticatedly optioned SWB (eg Twin Sliding doors / Doppellader) Cheers Mark

  I have a T6.1 Urban Works, this is the most honest interesting video on the new van so far. With your background in design and the smaller details, I’m surprised you did not pick up on the hideous visible wiring loom in the load area, looks like it was thrown from front to back and pinned up with blue tack…  the quality I felt in the demo I looked at was enough for me to look at a commercial Landcruiser, I have owned VW for years T4/T5/T6/T6.1 but this is not for me.

  Great video and a honest review. Your right about second hand values and problems popping up when the vans are out of warranty. I dont mind the look of the new transit, but the VW badged version is going to have to have a full frontal makeover to look decent.<br>It’s a shame VW didn’t put their multivan range of engines in it, like they did with the early crafter/sprinter range, I think the VW crowd would have excepted the new T7 then.

  A friend of mine has been running a Transit Tourneo for 9 months. Not sure if it&apos;s because of the additional electrics in the back, but he&apos;s had constant battery low warnings and this then throws up a whole myriad of other error messages. In the end, put it on a battery charge every few weeks. The final straw was he lost all drive and had to be recovered by the AA. Took Ford 2 attempts to repair, think it was a selector shaft. Hope you have better luck wit the Transporter.

  love your attitude bud, no bullshit just complete honesty, suffered myself as we all do with health so pleased your ok , don’t suppose you could pop down to parliament and give them a lesson on being honest and having a personality 🙂

  Perhaps you could add some insulation behind the cover to mask the indicator relay click so that it&apos;s not so annoying.

  The wet belt isn&apos;t just in a ford a lot of manufacturers are using it and if the vehicle is serviced correctly and the right oil is used then it shouldn&apos;t be a problem it looks like it is here to stay and they will tweek things I would imagine along the line for more reliability, it was the same when the ford cvh cambelt was introduced a lot of them were snapping and that was a lot down to people not changing them ontime
