  When I started my 55 gallon tank 3 years ago, I slowly stocked the tank, mostly because I couldn’t afford too buy a lot of fish at one time. So after a couple of months I had four Green Corys in the tank, and then promptly forgot about them as I started growing another tank. One day last fall I was cleaning out the canister filter I use on the 55, and found a baby Cory in the canister. I literally caught it in my hand as I was emptying the canister filter water. I rushed him into my office and got him into the aquarium, and didn’t think about it for a couple of minutes. I did a quick count and realized I now have nine Green Corys in the one tank. Yesterday I was sitting on the floor working on the canister filter that sits in the cabinet under the tank. I glanced up at the tank and found that I had an audience. Four of the Corys were pressing their faces into the glass watching me. The others came over, saw me, said, “what’s up?”, and then went their way. The original four stayed there until I got up and left the room. Of course, before I left I just had to drop some sinking pellets into the tank, just to make their visit a happy one.

  i bought 2 pandas and realized i needed a few more, so i got 3 more. that was a few months ago. now i have 20.no one told me they breed like crazy. pretty awesome though.

  Love this video!<br>&quot;Corydoras&quot; is both singular and plural, not that it matters since the genus was basically phased out.

  Thanks for the great info! &nbsp;I also love having groups of Corys. &nbsp;It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I think I’d have to go with Julii corydoras. &nbsp;I’ve been thinking about setting up a 20 or 30 gallon planted shallow specifically for Cory’s. &nbsp;Maybe a small group of rasboras for mid level interest but the focus would be the Corys!

  Depends on what kind of tank you are looking for. They are excellent scavengers. However, they really should be kept with other similar types of cories. If you want a good community catfish for a large community tank, I highly recommend the ottocinclus catfish. Get 2 for a 30 gallon tank and they will be very happy with that. They are very shy though. So give them plenty of time and patience for them to get used to you. And do not put them in areas where people will walk by the tank a lot. Same with neon tetras, a fish that is also quite shy and likes to school with at least 6 of its own kind. But if you have small peaceful community fish, the otocinclus catfish will fit right in. As long as you have room for 2 of them. I love mystery snails for peaceful community tanks with small fish myself. They are neat little things. Only need 10 gallons per snail, and they do not breed unless you have a male female pair. And you will typically only need 1 of them.

  Laser corys! I have a group of 6 green lasers, and they&apos;re about the most majestic species of cory I&apos;ve come across. They are awful shy though.

  Excellent video and editing. Very clearly narrated. Your voice is oddly very soothing. <br><br>Question - I have been dying to find an answer which I have not been able to find! I am also a owner of various large rainbow fish!<br><br> Do your boesmani in your 55 bother your cories? I have about 18 to 20 medium to large melanotaenia rainbows &nbsp;in 75 gallon planted. Because I know the rainbows are aggressive piggy &nbsp;eaters, I was thinking I would have to sprinkle Aquarium Co-op Magic fish feed powder at night to help feed them at the bottom if I do go with this plan. (I have Corydoras Adolfo and corydora eques). Do your rainbows eat the sinking wafers? What is your strategy? Do you feed at night<br><br>You&apos;re Schwartzi Cory are so tempting to get. They look like parallelus CW0127. You may have gained a subscriber from San Diego. 😊

  Very nice video! &nbsp;I have a well planted 60 gallon tank with a sand substrate, and 23 Peppered Cory Catfish and 16 Neon Tetras. &nbsp;The catfish are so comical to watch, and the crazy Neon Tetras shoal with them and follow them everywhere like honorary catfish. I started out with 8 corys in my old 40 gallon tank, but over a few months, I wound up with 15 unexpected babies, so i had to move to the larger tank. &nbsp;The catfish are in constant spawning mode, and I have to remove eggs every day to hold the herd at its current number😂<br><br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LffWKrov9Js">https://youtu.be/LffWKrov9Js?is=bJ8SJbkJ95s_9qFM</a>

  corydora need Always Sand and in the Most Times soft water and ph 6.5-6.8
