Well the video was definitely worth the wait. This is a rail journey I am trying to convince my wife to join me on. She likes the idea of the stopover in Kamloops, and due to a couple of severe food allergies she likes how accomodating Rocky Mountaineer is about food. As residents of BC, this is a journey we can be very proud of.

You gotta hand it to Rocky Mountaineer, they certainly cover their bases with the food sensitivity thing and the handicapped access. As a solo traveler, I might shell out the dough for this train.

If I’m not mistaken, this train has Raider Railcar’s “ULTRADOME” observation cars.<br>Those cars where exclusive the never left the station Marlboro Unlimited train (exclusive contest train that was scrapped from complications and bad practices) back in the mid nineties. They only built maybe 4 of those cars built but the entire train was scrapped (Raider Railcar couldn’t meet demand to manufacture the train cars because they where more of a luxury boutique builder of 1-2 cars a year of extravagant custom railcars, like penthouse on rails)<br><br>Those cars now live their new lives as the ULTRADOME cars, and they are a tourist favourite!<br><br>(Raider Railcar is defunct, but I thought it would be neat to share this fact)
