  RE: Divine hiddenness. Apparently, for thousands of years, God failed to communicate his existence to the entirety of China. But he REALLY REALLY wants a relationship with us!

  If evangelicals want Bart Ehrman to take their scholarship more seriously, a good starting point would be to get rid of the &quot;statement of faith&quot; that you have to sign to teach at these places like Dallas Theological Seminary. It still just amazes me that these apologists go to schools that literally require you to have a certain opinion on your topic of study. What a mockery of the academic enterprise.
