  I was born and raised in the USMC. We used to get to see the Marine Corps Band perform, and this was always one. Just warms my heart, always loved this.

  Great reaction! The MTC has some of the best harmonies! "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" was a poem written by Julia Ward Howe in 1861, inspired by a visit to a Union Army camp. Howe's lyrics, published in 1862, used biblical imagery to form a patriotic hymn that became an unofficial anthem of the Union cause during the Civil War.

  I’m an 81 yr old man who has sung this song since childhood in school and church and haves seen this performance many times as well as others and they always always make me weep ! I just love this! Thanks or your reaction it was spot on perfect! <br>GOD BLESS YOU! 💕🇺🇸💝🇺🇸

  Thank you for reacting to The Tabernacle Choir. I can listen to them sing this song over and over and never tire of it. The choir consists of 360 members, all volunteers, and all members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

  I grew up listening to the choir on LP. &nbsp;This was one of the songs I always came back to, time and again. &nbsp;There is nothing more powerful than a well balanced choir. &nbsp;Heavenly!

  This was the battle song on The Union Army during The Civil War. Dixie was the battle song of The Confederate Army.

  Always like it when a reaction channel listens to a choir. It seems to be forgotten that with so many voices, there is extra skill in keeping to your part.<br>A while back I suggested that you listen the Danish National Girls Choir, &nbsp;the DR Pigekoret singing either &quot;Soil in the ground &quot; or &quot;River&quot;. The choirs have been around since the 1930&apos;s and have millions of views, though few outside of Denmark know of them.<br>Give them a listen. You and your listeners will be astounded by their skill.
