I work in a repair shop for all electronic industrial equipment and believe me that PMSM its the standard in servomotor for quite a time, it is a very expensive theme because they are different to the hobby/EV's ones, the motor look like a stepper motor but in the inside it is a PMSM, the most difficult part is the last one mention the Encoder, there are a lot of models/brands but the most commons ones in the industry is Heidenhain and Sick, and they are a pain in the ass to work with in terms of repair, but in the working they are super precise and create a huge effiency in the industrial process, thanks for the video, a Video about PMSM for hobbys etc it is not common.

I’ve built a bunch of vehicles with these motors, and they are awesome. One of my favorite parts is that the peak power can be way higher than the rated power, for example that 5000w motor Scott has could do 15000w peaks, which makes it perfect for e-bikes where you need a burst of power to climb a hill but don’t want a big heavy motor. With that being said, one downside is the inconsistent and confusing ratings of the controllers that drive these motors. For example, the controller shown in this video can actually do 13,680w but it’s labeled as a 3000w controller for some reason.

HVAC commercial, we primarily use induction motors, they can either be powered directly to mains power, or putting a VFD drive. Since what motors are controlling, either a water pump, or a fan, they run 24/7. They can run for decades excellent reliability. I can’t say the same for ECM motors. I can’t tell you how many ECM modules I had to replace. And they’re more expensive than a standard PSC motor. Less controls is better reliability.

You obviously need to build a wind generator, so that you can save money on electricity, so you don't have to have as many commercials in your videos.😂

Holy shit someone saying "as you can see its quite expensive" AND THEN SHOWING A ACTUALLY GOOD PRICE "this bike is cheap" shows me a 5,000 bike

I doubt anybody that sees this will actually go out and try one but there is another cool type of motor called a transverse flux motor and they are pretty hard to find but there is one place you can find them and that is in Old broken onewheel V1 original board from the Kickstarter days ($100-500). They have tons of magnets for high torque, the stator design also looks somewhat alien.

"What i should make with mine"?

Well, you've got an e-bike battery pack, the rotor of your wind generator, and I'm sure you've got a big backpack somewhere! 😆

Add 6 diodes on the output an use that motor as a generator. Add huge propellers and make a killer wind generator.
