  As someone from Myanmar, I can tell you that drugs were not seized, those were delivered. As long as Thai government support Myanmar military junta, this will never stop.

  To give context here...yaba 20 baht...1 pack of instant noodles is 8 baht and noodle soup at a street stall is 30 - 40 baht.<br>It is cheaper for a poor manual worker to use yaba than eat now.

  Having had two bouts with this drug i truely feel for the addicts. It is VERY hard on your body. My kidneys almost shut down, my skin still breaks out bad. Been off for three yrs but feel awful still. Stay away if you can, get help soon dont wait!!❤

  On my first visit to Thailand in 1999, I read an article in the BKK Post about the yaba (meth) problem. I thought to myself, you don&apos;t even have a problem yet. In the US, not many people were smoking it yet, they were still snorting it. They only started smoking it after several years because it wasn&apos;t working for them.<br>But in Thailand, you didn’t even go through that phase, you went straight to smoking it.

  I am from Bangladesh. We call this here Yaba. I have been addicted for 15 years and clean fir 3 years and still continuing too.

  Phamee-ceutical village, I lived in Thailand as a kid in the late 90&apos;s and for as long as I&apos;ve known, it has always been heavy on the meth.

  I went to that temple many years ago, it was truly moving, not just the harshness of the treatment but the compassion that the patients were shown. &nbsp;Many people go to visit there to support the temple. &nbsp;The emetic concoction they the patients are given actually has a purpose: given the violent retching that they experience, &nbsp;the severe muscular exertions when vomiting, release endorphins which in turn help to relieve withdrawal symptoms. &nbsp;A TV film was made of this place some years ago. &nbsp;I wasn&apos;t allowed to photograph any of the patients or proceedings, but I have kept a photo of a bronze Buddha statue there.
