I love the hypothetical dialogue, it’s so real and helpful for visualizing the actual conversation to get the best shots

I was at a festival filming a stage performance for fun and I was zooming in over people's heads and smartphones. Later I realized I should've kept a bit of it in the shot to use as a foreground element. Next time I do that it's me applying your concepts for depth and layers

I like the mention of the M40s and of how you would set up a shot like this with more budget. Especially I would be interested in hearing more about scenarios where you think it's worth arguing for a specific ("high budget") light and what the difference of the high vs. low budget version would be visually.

11:25 what would you think of a light mat on a boo or an autopole from the ceiling but more to the left and negative fill on the right ? also pointing a spot light to a point where i can not place a light to bounce it worked for me sometimes also ausing the door as if there is light from the outside filling in the leftside?
