Wow! We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the wonderful and lovely response our film has had. The film was created not only as a passion project on the creators own experiences but as a way to hopefully do what we can to help raise awareness so for that, we are truly grateful for the lovely support and kind words we have received and for sharing your own experiences, it truly means so much!

As we are at the moment a small production company looking to grow and venture towards our upcoming productions, to help us reach new audiences we would be ever so appreciative if you could please leave us a rating, small review or both on IMDb or even sharing Always a Joy.
www.imdb.com/title/tt33984440/reviews

Thank you once more and we wish you all well,
D82 Productions

    I visited her every day.
She liked to look at the headlines of the newspaper.
She would read them aloud, then say, "What does that mean?"
I would explain.
A few moments later she would read the headlines and ask again.
I would explain again.
It's no trouble at all if you really care about the person.

So sweet! I had a good friend who had dementia. We would sometimes have the same conversation over and over again but so what? At least we were having a conversation. ❤

My husband has dementia, he was only 63 when diagnosed with it. He's 67 now. It's been really hard to be his caregiver. I'm exhausted all the time. Our dreams of him retiring and going on trips have vanished. He had to retire early because he could no longer do his job. We never got to travel. This was a nice short film. It was nice the grandson just listened. But I can say being a care giver 24/7 is hard work. My husband is so young and he can't do anything for himself. I hate the disease.

Thank you for sharing this lovely quiet little story. My 86 year old Mum has dementia and this is very much how she is.

My mom had dementia for 5 years. My dad had Parkinson's. They lived in assisted living situation for the last couple of years of their lives. My dad said he needed to take care of my mom. They were HS sweethearts & married 64 years. It was hard to be the parent to them emotionally. However, I have been thankful I was able to do this for them both. I miss them! 😢

Oh the tears. My siblings and I took care of our mom who suffered through dementia. It’s so hard and heartbreaking but definitely well worth the effort. Thank you. A fitting tribute.

The big hurdles do get you where you need to be. After 74 years of life, I have so many stories that prove that very thing. Everything always works out for the best.

You have to enter their story and simply be with them. I cared for my mother for six years and was her main companion and emotional support. I was the only person in our family who she remembered. Such sweet moments together in her final days. Just wrap them in unspoken love. Truly, it is beautiful. 💚💚💚

I think that's best. Be with them wherever they are, mentally.

The spaniel was a delicate and savvy touch.
I didn't twig until the end.
Kudos.
