  The drill press is one of my most used tools. I can’t even imagine trying to do without one. Different strokes for different folks

  Scott, don’t steal our joy! The fun of woodworking lies in acquiring the tools, not in making the projects. Personally, I consider myself a collector of tools because that way, I don’t feel so bad about not using them.😆

  When I got started I grabbed some pallets and made a temporary workbench with that wood. &nbsp;It was solid. &nbsp;I built it in a few hours. &nbsp;Eventually I put a different top on it, but 46 years later I am still using this temporary bench. &nbsp;It is still rock solid.

  My 2 workbenches came from housing construction site scrap piles. I stop when I see framing start and ask the crew boss if I can have the cast offs so I don’t go to jail for trespass! Amazing what is thrown away. I’m now a 72 yo woman who still stops and asks for off cuts and trash.

  I&apos;ve found a 3d printer is a good replacement for making templates on a CNC. I print out the template I need, double side tape it on some plywood, and use a router and trim bit. If the parts are too big for the 3d printer you can break them up and add connectors to them.

  You can buy or make an insert plate for that spindle sander to mount it in your router table

  However Bosch&apos;s green drill press would suit very well with your shop&apos;s green 😉
