"made you the villain, evil for just moving on" this is 100% about a serious ex and waiting for her to become "just another girl on the subway" basically just means waiting for this ex you feel so strongly about to feel like a stranger.

Saskatchewan is a province in Canada!! Saskatchewan is known for how rural and low the population is, with large areas of forest and prairie. She references the region as a seemingly random example of somewhere remote and quiet to escape to from urban life, presumably LA

Im gonna say that this song is WHY I dont mind if she takes another 5 years to release a new album. I want THIS MAGIC. And not everyone is Taylor or Sabrina or Olivia, who write as easy as breathing. Who write to experience life. Chappel needs to experience life forst, and then we get THIS. The music scene has so much going on, we need a little variety in the release schedules. So happy to have her take her damn time!

She keeps seeing her ex on the subway and it kills her. <br>They share the same subway line, so she is forced to watch her ex move on. Her ex doesn&apos;t notice her anymore in a crowd while she still thinks they are soul mates. Chappell is still captivated by her, but they aren&apos;t together anymore - unrequited love. So she is counting down the days till she no longer reacts to seeing her ex.

the lyric &apos;I&apos;m moving to Saskatchewan&apos; is actually so genius because in Saskatchewan there is no subway system. for her to move there would mean no running into her ex on the subway hahaha.

Yeah, to me it feels like they had a relationship and then broke up, and the other girl eventually moved on, but Chappell hasn&apos;t yet, and so she still thinks about her even though she tries not to. And because they live in the same city, she sometimes sees her in the subway, like she says at the start of the song

When you screamed at the realization that it’s both “she’s got a way” and “she got away”, that was ALL OF US. We feel seen. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
