I have the air for a few days now. It’s installed in my dual ad1865 dac’s IV stage combined with the sparkos ss3602 on the buffer stage. Excellent combo. Very airy and open sounding. It also reduces the mid bloom from the warm dac which I like. My dac has never sounded better.

I have the V7 Vivid Pros in my DAC and at first I wasn't sure if I liked them because they had less bass than the decent opamp that was there before. Then I heard more deep bass and realised that they are just flatter in response and I probably had a lower-mid bump before. They are great quality but honestly it depends on the device they are in as to how much difference they make. I had a bigger upgrade in sound from exploring different digital filters on my playback software, for example. Ymmv.

How do these compare with the Akliam AK05's? Worth upgrading to the Vivid Air? I checked the price (can't remember your mentioning it, just that they're $20 cheaper than the Vivids) -- they're £106 per pair in the UK.

Burson is an extremely arrogant company. Three grand for DAC that only lasts 3 years 🤮.<br>Warranty service backup repairs, even if paying for is non-existent.<br>They don’t know how to repair their products because they’re produced on license in China .<br>The product might be good, but Burson is an extremely arrogant company and very hard to deal with. I will never recommend them or buy another product from them. They just collect the cash with no customer service very poor. 👎👎👎
