  nah make a paint box for them and just soak them... put a layer of linseed oil on them before painting with oil paint,

  As one old woodworker told me, you should not paint wood from all sides as you may trap moisture inside, always leave one side unpainted to let it breath.

  Hi Dave, things coming on nicely. Tip .. if you put a short nail that just protrudes the top of the batten you can use it to align in the &nbsp;groove. All looking good. Enjoy watching your videos.   Last 9 months I have restored a Ferguson TED20 - 1952 ​(Petrol-Paraffin engine) to factory look condition. Now working on the last part, rear tire rims. Will be driven back to its home (patents summer cottage) in the winter if the lake ice conditions allow it.

  Another really great video—clearly a lot of work went into it, but it turned out well. It is absolutely delightful for me to watch everything you do, and being able to follow along puts me in a good mood. You’re doing a fantastic job, and the results look great, too. I wish I could work as a carpenter and have a small farmstead. Keep up the good work!
