I think the problem with poor old Elsa is that she's in a lot of pain. She is very restless and can't seem to find a comfortable position. First one side, then the other. She's up, she's down. Maybe it will be her last baby. Maybe the afterbirth is still inside of her. Something is surely wrong with her for sure

Elsa is an old pro. She knows the baby will get to her to nurse, soon enough. The baby is not starving and near death, as many have implied. These older mothers become extremely exhausted when they give birth, and just want sleep. They don't guide their newborn to the nipple. They find it on their own.

The mother was having difficulty pushing the placenta out and was at risk of dying from sepsis. The placenta will quickly begin to rot which is why she’s constantly swatting away flys because they are attracted to the smell of rotting flesh. At <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPybMKVIMBI&t=4140">1:09:00</a> of the video you can see her pushing what looks to be the remains of the placenta out, but it could also be feces, but by the way she steadily improved after that point I’m inclined to believe it actually was the rotting remains of the placenta

The cameramen don't let her sleep they keep disturbing her. I suppose they need her awake for the videos but this is unfair as she is old and has just given birth..
