I HAD A MEGA MIXED GRILL AT SHERRYS BAR IN BENIDORM - Is this the best home cooked food in Benidorm?

  Don’t know why all the vloggers bang on about Sherrys bar, we found it to be average especially with the catering sausage & overdone eggs!

  Those chips used to be called chats many years ago in the uk when early season potatoes where small before the days when larger potatoes could be kept in good condition in storage all winter. Basically they were short but stubby chips not the long chips made from large potatoes. They were lovely just like the ones you had.

  We don't go on the strip at night either. Day drinks in the sun way more relaxing

  i have heard your logic about the strip at night, I am glad you  started to find something you like in Benidorm, but I wanna throw my two cents in about something.  I lived in the town next to Benidorm for a couple of years and had many holidays there before and after.  About the strip, the worst area is the area in the middle of it, by the square and KFC and the Red Lion.  You say you dont go that far down and thats fine, but the best part altogether if you dont like the rowdiness is not actually the old town end of it, its the Morgans end of it, including Flash Hotel down to Piccadillly for the best karaoke, and honestly anywhere from Morgans up to Hotel California is a great night for us 40 somethings.  That is the area to be of a night for the live entertainment, and I know you had the hotel above muggers alley mk 2 as you call it and so you have a thing about the strip, but the area to avoid in my opinion is like i say starting after the Crown pub, right through the area where the square is, and on as far as about Jumping Jacks.  Now you are experimenting with Benidorm, try that what I suggested and try some of the live shows they are great when you are with the missus, Morgans for Matt Fisher, Western Saloon, Talk of the Coast, some great bars down that end. Enjoy!

  Hi Deano,  the mixed grill looked really good and those home made  chips  looked crispy and fluffy  and shaped like roast potatoes  yum!
