It’s not easy to understand. People are aware that they are broken. The avoidance patterns repeat over and over again. They are unwilling to focus on themselves. The pain is too great, so they project it on to others through gaslighting, abandonment, and blame. So sad and frustrating to be around unhealed people who pretend to be conscious beings, but who in reality are walking time bombs. We all have the opportunity to work on ourselves, regardless of our wounding. Those that don’t, hurt the people they are around. No amount of sympathy will change it.

Regret doesn't fix broken trust.<br>It doesn't build lost time and it doesn't change the fact that when someone had you, they didn't show up the way they should. That's their story to live with, not yours.<br><br>The lesson here is to stop proving and start protecting. Protect your peace, your energy, your standards.

You're channeling us both simultaneously 😅 I was the one with the lie. We're both avoidants, I'm fearful and I think he's like 30 % dismissive, 30 % anxious, 30 % secure. It was a roller coaster ride. I came clean, he left. I bet we're at the same place now with missing each others.

You crack me up. <br><br>"That was a high five, not a slap in the face."<br><br>What bothers me most about my scenario is not getting closure. No conversation, just gone.<br><br>Ghosting is not cool. People doing that must stop it. It is very damaging to the ghosted.

Letting him go is the most painful thing to do.... Mourning while they are still alive🥺...23 yrs and 2 children❤️🩹 (ongoing cycles, patterns) I have known for years that he is carrying sooo much trauma and pain...we talked about these things...I tried to love him into healing and with the information and tools I had then....I had to choose me and my kids for once!! 🙏🏾❤️🩹
