  This video is completely unsponsored, I just wanted to get some more info out there for people to consider, In no way am I trying to single out Les Schwab, they are doing the same thing that shops across the globe have all made "normal"...  Unfortunately, the norm makes it really hard to know what you are actually getting.

  20yr big O employee here… very few people in the tire industry care about the tires that they sell. They care about making a sale and making their commission and sales numbers so yes… that’s a great tire! What ever tire is in stock, is a great tire that day.

  Tire Rack has tons of customer reviews on all the current tire selections, with a breakdown on the main characteristics buyers are interested in. Hugely helpful.

  Having not fully watched yet, I wanted to share my experience in this industry. We were a small shop, we had a lot of trust with the community, so we didn&apos;t screw around, no pushing, but we did make suggestions. We made roughly the same profit on a cheap tire as a mid to upper level one, little more on Michelin but not much more. We more had tires we steered people away from more often than ones we pushed. We knew some people could not afford premium rubber, but with some research and experience we could point them to the better of the cheap option. <br><br>Unfortunately in the recent months, they were bought out by a regional company and I suspect it will all go down hill now. We even did free leak repairs and patches. Our alignment guy and licensed tech had been there for 35 years, even the tire changers had lots of experience. We were not the cheapest or the most expensive, but we spent money on paying good people.

  I used to work at a Discount Tire. My boss pushed us for faster bay times over quality of our work. Our sales people were usually upfront about the in house brands like Rocky Mountain and Pathfinder but say nothing about the DT exclusive Continental tires. it was a stressful environment to be in with all the corporate drama added in.

  I&apos;ve gone to the same Discount Tire for the last 12 years, and I&apos;ve dealt with the same employees the entire time. Seems rare for Discount, but this store has been able to keep it&apos;s employees. They&apos;re always friendly and never try to sell me what I&apos;m not looking for.
