    I&apos;d still use opto-isolators or s step down transformer rather than connect AC mains to my ADC via resistors only. &nbsp; You really should consider some form of isolation for safety.

    The chassis of most oscilloscopes is connected to earth ground. Measuring mains voltage without a differential probe can lead to potentially fatal consequences.
