  You know what would be best? Experimental snapshots showcasing what they actually do. Instead of vague descriptions and a animation that doesn't give the experience. But we can't expect a billion dollar company to do what expert modders do for free. Poor corpo workers.

  There is a serious cost to sleeping in Minecraff: it messes up your respawn point. Which honestly makes Phantoms even worse, since the only way to avoid them is to move your spawn point far away from your base.

  I still have to wonder why certain Mob’s are just not allowed to come back especially when they have really easy designs to add.<br><br>Like how hard is it to add a cow reskin with flowers.

  i can actually kinda see the thought process behind them, i think the idea was that &quot;the longer your are away on your adventure (i.e. not sleeping) the harder the adventure becomes&quot; by adding a new, &apos;harder&apos; enemy to the enemy pool for you to battle, the intend could have been a rise in difficulty. Which might also be why more spawn the longer your stay awake.<br><br>But that completely falls off when suddenly 20 phantoms spawn and you need the entire night just to take on the horde one by one.

  I think you are spot on Fish. Mojang added the Phantom -&gt; everyone hated that -&gt; Instead of fixing the Phantom, or working to not make the same mistake again -&gt; All future mobs are &quot;optional&quot; and barely make any difference to the average player&apos;s experience. <br><br>I played Minecraft the most at around 2014, I have one back to it recently, and the vast majority of new things added didn&apos;t make any difference to the way I used to play a decade ago.

  something to consider about the copper golem is that it got a complete rework of its original use, back when it was an option in the mob vote the inly thing it that we were told it was going to do was that it would press buttons at random, something that any mob can do if you use pressure plates, but when they were added years after, they changed from being a bad random number generator, to a automatic item sorter that it is easy to set and it works wonders for not only normal players, but also builders with the oxidized versions, and technical players due to how you can use it for really niche and cheap item sorting systems

  I feel like a cazador approach to the phantom, where if you hit their wing they become grounded, would make it a more interesting fight

  the stupidest thing about the phantom is that the vote that added them in only had a few thousand voters each round, ON TWITTER. I hate it when people argue &apos;you voted for this&apos;, literally less than 1% of the playerbase voted for it. like the Sniffer got 3 MILLION votes! They could get rid of phantoms and effectively 0% of the playerbase would actually care about it.

  The really sad thing about Phantoms is that I&apos;ve had their spawning disabled for <i>years</i> and it has inherently made the game more enjoyable to play. Being able to build whenever and for as long as you want really boosts motivation when you don&apos;t have to worry about sleeping every few nights just to not get pecked by them.<br>Like the Phantom is the entire embodiment of what <i>not</i> to do when making enemies for a sandbox game. Don&apos;t just punish me because I wanted to stay up and build, man.
