  Tracy is is definitely codependent with a side of main character syndrome. <br>I feel bad for her kids. I hope they&apos;ve grown up to have lives they&apos;re happy with.

  Some of them officers have restored my fath so kind ... not all of them will but most will see them as just young lads who went off the rails

  This is NOT how a prison should be run. No prisoners should be out of their cells, enjoying themselves with their &apos;mates&apos;, like it&apos;s a holiday camp. No wonder crime is out of control. Only incapacitation works.

  With 2 little kids Tracey deserved much more from life, &nbsp; young immature boys thinking they&apos;re gangsters, &nbsp; who cares what area you&apos;re from, &nbsp;unite against the system not each other.

  I genuinely feel sorry for that Tracey&apos;s kids. They&apos;re probably about 20 now or thereabouts. Hope they&apos;re getting on okay. I hate seeing wee kids brought up among that.

  Feel so sorry for the guy that was abused sexually. He blamed it all on himself and never onced blamed his actions on that. Hope he is in a good place now

  Watched this when it aired when I was around 13, I was a few years younger than these boys but this doc stayed in my mind and great to now see it again in its entirety in original quality.<br><br>It captured the ned culture of the time well looking back on it and there&apos;s not many pieces of film from mid-2000s Scotland which exist.<br><br>I&apos;ve probably seen hundreds of prison documentaries since, but this was a truly exceptional piece of filmmaking. The way the prisoners open up completely to the film crew, and the Prison Officers also being totally frank and transparent, is not something you usually see. The dynamics of a YOI environment and how bravado and image factor in to the disputes is captured perfectly.<br><br>I enjoyed Women Behind Bars and Boys of Ballikinrain from around the same time, and new a few of the boys and girls in those.

  As an ex soldier most of these boys should be offered army instead of jail minus the beasts,it’s a shame for most of them.
