So we either hear the song when it comes out or we never hear it all because it didn’t make the cut.<br><br>This shit is on everybody….not just producers ‼️

  Blaming the producers to me is crazy. As you said “the artist have the final say.” I think one thing that can ruin an artist is their personal lives being too open to the public./ reputation. Doing that doesn’t leave no room more mystery. If artists personals lives are reckless, the fans will be turned off by them and won’t give their music a listen.

  The problem is that they are not pulling from the culture. The culture is a generational rolling blueprint. Sampling is missing. Kendrick samples but alot of these other rappers and producers are not pulling from the culture and it shows. I hear black culture inspire hip hop through generations until now. The young people gotta look back and roll it forward.

  The Drake-ification of Albums (glorified Playlists / algorithm manipulation methods) + The Amateurization of Recording. People stopped viewing Rap (or Production) as a special skill. Music ceased being CRAFT and became HUSTLE. Emceeing ceased being a curated fraternity of artists striving for excellence and became opposing cliques vying for label dollars. “Meh, I can do that!” Fruity loops (which is Early AI) and free recording software. Then the, “record on your phone” era became, “I’m bout to get this money!” That is when both artists and fans stopped even being lovers of HipHop. It STRICTLY just another form of scamming.

  To 9th wonders point, I agree to a degree that I grew up on 90’s hip hop and r&amp;B’. &nbsp;Those artists was the ones I was familiar with. But being open to music from the 60’s and 70’s made me appreciate my love for music even more.

  In my personal opinion I blame not only the artists but I put most of the blame on labels. These labels are grabbing artists simply because they got a viral hit. There&apos;s no artist development. A&amp;Rs aren&apos;t really taking risk anymore they&apos;re signing what they think is easy money because it takes not only money but also time to develop artists.

  1 don&apos;t see talked about is sequencing. Even if an album don&apos;t have an overall theme, that can bring those different ideas together like a sewing needle &amp; thread, <br>through the order the songs&apos; own themes &amp; orders...now albums are more like the streaming playlists. Definitely a lot of the factors from the community are spot on.
