  Wayne, you missed the Trustafarian. They live like a Rastafarian, but have a tidy trust fund so they'll never bee poor. The Trustafarian graduated from some very expensive small liberal arts college, took a gap year a decade back, and now run an Asian-Fusion taco cart in Phnom Penh. After they tire of that, they/ll work the seasonal gigs in Alaska or some far flung location. In their 40s they'll marry into similar money and settle down to run a CIA backed NGO feeding kittens (and civil war) in Kuala Lampur.

  Nice catch. I&apos;ve been in Thailand for a year. Married, happy and loving life but I just don&apos;t seem to be able to participate on Expat Facebook pages without invariable correction or objection from other members. I&apos;ve decided I don&apos;t need that anymore. I&apos;ve got my Thai family and that&apos;s all I need until I die.

  Have met all of your archetypes in my travels. &nbsp;I was so naive initially (i.e. being conditioned to believe the best in people), but eventually ended up trusting my gut instinct. &nbsp;Acknowledge the bad vibes and protect yourself from it.

  Peter Pan here. Just turned 60. I was going out almost every night until 2-6 am. Had 4 nights in a row where I was absolutely written off and then rode my bike home. I didn&apos;t and couldn&apos;t even do that in my 20&apos;s. I knew the security guys, bar staff the DJ&apos;s the locals. Had girls whenever I wanted. Then I was told, how long do you think you can keep that up and what is the purpose? I now go to the gym at night, drink lots of water and go to bed before midnight. Just added a few years to my life
