Great video! I successfully got my vcr side working again after a couple of attempts. Thanks! A few things I learned along the way:<br><br>Make sure when you clean the mode switch, be gentle. I used contact cleaner and a toothbrush to gently clean the white piece and the little metal contacts. The metal contacts bend easily.<br><br>The mode switch is indexed and lines up and fits in a hole on top of the switch. I messed this up the first time when I put everything back together and nothing spun up. <br><br>I sprayed down the area around the mode switch with contact cleaner, I feel like that may have helped loosen some gunk up.<br><br>Finally, when cleaning the pinch roller with acetone, I ended up using a bunch of cotton swabs. I cleaned until almost no black was coming off the roller. <br><br>Also, great background music, this was a fun video to watch and listen to while I finished up this project.
