I had a dream last night I was hanuman, going into different places in time and simply serving others. The day prior to my dream, I was struggling with my childhood best friend who was dismissing of my help, and a job interview to volunteer in greece who questioned if I had selfish intentions? I couldnt fathom it. I feel that I have a innocent drive to serve others in life. I find hanuman comfortable and I hope he sits in my mind. I realize I cant control the way that others perceive my drive to serve and instead to not focus on that, but on my relationship with god. I got up this morning and decided to watch a video of him to focus just on him and his energy. Jai Hanumanji <3 I am 28 from Alaska!!! <3

Just a correction. Lord Hanuman is culturally depicted as a monkey but he actually was a “Vaanar” which means “Man living in the forest” (“Van”- Forest, “Nar”- Man). Even in the Valmiki Ramayan it is mentioned that the race of Hanuman though human resembled a lot like big monkey species. They had a lot of hair, their faces were a bit like monkeys but they walked upright, were strong and could talk. It is even said that they had strong communities and townships. The Valmiki Ramayan describes the race of Lord Hanuman as being tribal people who would wear masks, would “wear” tails and tribal jewellery. Though over the course of time, due to evolution of culture, Lord Hanuman’s imagery became to be depicted as a monkey.

I enjoyed listening to the story but I hope people know this story is simplified without the explanation of symbolism of all the events and the side stories. Thank you sir, I enjoyed it.
