mondstadt is actually just the prologue and is even titled that way. The story begins in Liyue, and you'll fall in love!

Please offer your items to the statue of the seven!! It isn't newbie trap, it improves your stamina and does not harm your playthrough at all, just free rewards for collecting things :) Honestly Genshin doesn't really have newbie traps I think the only thing I would be careful of is your world level but that would be it

1:23 Probably a hot take but i think it's a good call recording your first time playing instead of streaming it.. and I would say atleast until you get the hang of navigating the game and become familiar with basics of combat and character building. The load of information in the beginning plus unavoidable backseating can be overwhelming. Most importantly, it's more immersive to play this game solo.

01:18:30 This is not a "newbie trap". YOU WANT TO MAX THE STATUE. This is how you solve that stamina problem. The statue is what allows you to increase it. Also; turn on healing to 100%. You'll thank me in the future.

welcome to genshin!! seeing new players begin their journey is always fun. I have a few tips as a veteran player:
1. learn elemental reactions and use character's skills and bursts. it's the core mechanic to combat and will help you A LOT
2. your collection instinct is right lol. explore and collect everything you can! Genshin rewards exploration as there's always something to discover
3. Pull for who you like, don't let anyone tell you otherwise
4. Pace yourself and have fun :)

Man I really hope you enjoy the game on your own way. But I can't resist givin some advices: First of all, if you're pulling for characters, don't care for other pople's opinion on it, if you like that character you just pull for it. Pulling for the meta is not obligatiry. And last, I recomend exploringo ALOT, even if you wanna do on the off and only record the "Important shit", because you might regret it in the future for not exploring the region where you currently are. That's all, sorry for my bad english It isn't my first language, and I hope you Have a lot of fun especially with the lore.

Oh yeah, and your commentaries on the video are funny af XD

Also when you are collecting chests make sure to get the things that drop, there are extra things that drop that do not automatically go into your inventory and they are important materials
