Am I really gonna watch another multi-hour video of someone experiencing Genshin for the first time again? Hell yeah I will!

The way I know that 95% of the people watching this video are Genshin players that want to know what shit you'll talk about their game. Yeah, I'm one of those players, lol.

all I can think about is the guy that emptied out the emergency fund of him and his fiancé for a new genshin impact character that he became obsessed with and the lady called off the wedding because of it.

The Nod-Krai patch that landed in the last days of your challenge significantly increased the adventurer rank exp awarded from a bunch of exploration things like chests, and even added exp to things that gave nothing before (e.g. every oculus you find is now worth 60 AR exp). Leveling AR for main quest requirements is much, much faster now - obviously about 2 weeks too late for your challenge, but since it was a major sticking point in the video it's worth noting* that mihoyo has been addressing it

to answer your question to "when the shift in quality started ramping upwards".
it was after inazuma, inazuma unfortunately was developed during the quarantine days.

Zhong Li actually has a really good character moment in his story quest involving the fact that the Traveler is effectively immortal and a world hopper (spoilers)

Basically from what I remember, he asks the Traveler to please remember Teyvat, since even when all of Teyvat is essentially dead and even the gods of the world are gone; The Traveler will still be alive and will move onto another world. (Also The Traveler is likely MUCH older than Zhong Li, despite the fact they do not look like it)

10:10 cmon he's not just a soldier hes the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius the fact that there is no horse to speak of doesn't diminish his rank
