When I found out I'd need a hysterectomy, my gynecologist sat down fully in "I'm here to be empathetic and offer options." mode. I don't think he was prepared for me to be excited at the prospect. I told him I was excited to be rid of my uterus so it couldn't be used against my will. That man looked absolutely heartbroken and scheduled me immediately.

I’m a woman in Georgia. As of yesterday, a judge overturned the heartbeat law. Thankfully, women in Georgia, once again, have access to reproductive healthcare. Amber Thurman and Candi Miller should still be here today. This should have never happened. I am so heartbroken for their families. Vote blue for the safety of women! 💙💙💙

As a woman from Alabama that couldn't access care .... and people here say Pregnancy is God's will . ..... well I say erectile Disfunction and infertility is God's will as well..... so I guess I feel like if people want to control my access to care their access should be controlled just the same .....

As someone who had an abortion 45years ago at the age of 15 due to a date rape I commend your courage to tackle this subject in an objective yet compassionate way. What my life would have been like had I been forced to bear a child at that age I hate to think. I grew up in a violent alcoholic home and have no doubt I would have continued to inflict generational trauma. I’ve worked hard to heal my heart and soul.

I especially admire your bravery to announce your political position in this upcoming presidential election. I expect you will receive some negative blowback but I also suspect you are well prepared for the onslaught. Keep up the good work.

I live in a state who stripped away my reproductive rights as soon as Roe vs Wade was overturned. I’m chronically ill and on medications that would make pregnancy dangerous. I chose surgical sterilization. Gynos here are booked out for months and mine said she’s been doing a lot of similar surgeries. Thank you for covering this very difficult topic. I weep for the injustice of our ancestors, us, and our descendants.

16:31 I debated specifics of abortion in college. I still have connections with a peers and decided to reach out to more than 7 of the "pro life" supporters to see where they stood today. 20 yrs later 6 out of the 7 have changed their position to either pro choice or believe that there are circumstances that can justify an abortion. All are now married and/or have a daughter. The 1 who has not changed his perspective is unmarried with no children. I thought it was interesting. Perspective is a powerful thing. I, myself, have changed my perspective over the years. I was on the "circumstances" train in my youth. Now I see it with mature eyes with a hell of a lot more science to back up my beliefs.

I've been a long time fan of your content, and I just want to say thank you for all the work you have done on this video and every other video you have made. Understanding how perspectives have changed over time on topics that are considered very controversial today help us better understand the struggles women and minorities have faced over time, and reproductive rights are so incredibly important in equality between all groups of people.

Not only as a woman (DON'T WORRY! I WON'T USE ANY RECIPES FROM THIS VIDEO!) but also as technical chemical assistant who's interested in plants and it's effects, I like that video very much 🙂

I am Romanian, was born in 78, first of 3 sisters. My parents used to joke that I am in no way a 'little decrete', they called kids born in the era so cause of Ceaușescu's decrete, but a very much wanted child. Women with 10 kids received medals and even a car.
Leaving all this aside, even as as an adolescent in pre Internet era I knew that one of my best friends mom died of a butched abortion.
They used to get soap, coffee (instant), contraceptives from the black market , smuggled from Hungary or Germany (not east, but west). You had to have your black market Connection.
Nowadays the spineless politicians allow doctors to opt out of performing one in state hospitals. So in the county where I am from is almost Impossible to get one free, in state hospital.
In a lot of other places it is not covered by health insurance or OBGY n doctor s refuse to do it.

Unfortunately Europe as a whole is following the US in forbidding abortions.
Sorry for the rant and I am for self determination. Women should have the right to abort if they choose so, it's never a decision taken lightly.

The amount of damage men who are scared of intelligent women have done throughout history is unfathomable

If a fetus is a baby then people should be able to take a life insurance policy since you know it’s a person
If a fetus is a baby then the father should have to pay child support from the moment it is confirmed
If a fetus is a baby then if a pregnant person gets assaulted then the person should be charged with child abuse
But no because and say it with me now a fetus is not a baby

It's good to hear you mentioning current russian policies, makes me feel like someone in the "outside world" cares about it too. It's already scary living in Russia, and with all the horrors that the government allows itself it's more and more worrying being a woman here. You never know what other inhumane things they can force upon you, given how little (if at all) they value human life.
