  Two weeks ago I went back to Milwaukee, and I saw a little article in the Milw Journal that said 106 cases of measles have been reported in SW Wisconsin, a rural area.  Measles is no joke; it can kill or blind somebody.  And of course the reason these cases occur is because MAGA doctrine says not to vaccinate your kid.

  <b>THIS IS WHAT I WISH FOR ALL OF YOU</b> <br>I live in Belgium — a small country that has made enormous progress over the past several decades in improving the everyday quality of life of its people. <br>And I don&apos;t mean only people with money. I mean ordinary people like me, people with modest incomes, as well as those who have considerable financial means. <br>Today is Saturday. I just took a 50-kilometre drive through fields, villages and beautiful countryside. <br>Along the way, I saw young and old people walking, riding bicycles, exercising, taking their children out, or simply going somewhere — by car, train or bus. <br>Nothing extraordinary. <br>I live in an ordinary provincial town. It&apos;s not Paris, London or New York. There is nothing particularly special about where I live. <br>And yet, within five minutes of my home, I have access to practically everything I need. <br>If I want to go somewhere, I can. If I want to travel, I can. If I want to spend the day in nature, I can. If I want to go shopping, eat out, see a doctor, take a train or simply stay home, I have choices. <br>And when election day comes, I have a real choice too. <br>There are several political parties with different ideas and different priorities. They disagree on many things, but they also share something important: they are ultimately expected to serve the people who make up the majority of society. <br>That doesn&apos;t mean Belgium is perfect. It isn&apos;t. <br>But over the course of my lifetime, I have watched my country become a place where ordinary people can enjoy a level of comfort, freedom, mobility, healthcare, public services and personal opportunity that previous generations could hardly have imagined. <br>And many other countries are moving in the same direction. <br>The goal should be a society where people — regardless of their background, skin colour, ancestry or income — have a genuine opportunity to live healthy, meaningful and dignified lives. <br>So this is not a lecture. <br>It is simply something I wish for you. <br>I wish that more Americans could experience the kind of ordinary Saturday that I have just described. <br>Not extraordinary wealth. <br>Not luxury. <br>Just <b>a good life, within reach of ordinary people.</b> <br>That is what I sincerely wish for all of you in America.
