  Canon: There are many levels of demon slayer, but the highest level is hashira.<br>Reality: There are 2 types of demon slayers, hashira and non-hashira.

  I think they keep making the mistake &nbsp;of making the demon slayer corps look incompetent by having all the background characters be canon fodder.

  It&apos;s worth mentioning that Tanjiro started a week or 2 later than everyone else. It&apos;s entirely possible that we only saw the rookies training, because most of the competent Kinoes and Kinotos passed relatively easily through most of the Hashira training. Iit served a narrative purpose as well, because it needed to show how big difference in skill is between the main characters, the Hashira and the random NPCs, who don&apos;t even want to cook for themselves.

  I was actually asking myself this question while watching the previous two arcs. There&apos;s no notable mid tier demon slayers besides Tanjiro, &nbsp;Zenitsu, and Inosuke. The normal slayers are basically fodder that made me question how they passed their final selection exam, while the Hashira seem capable of defeating just about anything.

  I genuinely dislike the fact that, in the Hashira Training Arc and probably throughout the entire series, the Demon Slayer Corps members are portrayed as clones. They all have the same black hair, similar physique, and wear the same uniform without a single haori. It’s so evident that they are obviously background characters who contribute little to the story. &nbsp;These clones are easily subdued by Obanai with no struggle or reconciliation, which indicates their extreme weakness. The only &quot;normal&quot; non-Hashira or non-main character Slayer I notice is at the beginning of the Hashira Training Arc—the guy at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbG9NfkrStc&amp;t=3">0:03</a>. At least he has a distinct, recognizable outfit, unlike the other characters who look like generic, ripped clones.

  I really dont like how the rest of demon slayers are just usless i mean 95 percent of them dont even know breath styles that&apos;s like sending them to their deaths lmao .

  I feel like the inconsistencies is because the author, Gotege, did not expect Demon Slayer to become as big as it did. She wrote a relatively generic story and didn&apos;t think too much about it, &nbsp;but then the Anime came out and Ufotable knocked it out the park with the basic source material. By the time season 1 finished, Gotege was already writing the final arc of the series, leaving really no room to continue world building.<br><br>This is such a shame because there was so much potential with the series, and I wished Gotege didn&apos;t rush it.
