  When you first escape, and GLaDOS is trying to get you to stop, she tells you that they are throwing a party in your honor. You are supposed to put the portal gun down, and lay down on your stomach with your arms at your sides, which is the "party escort submission position", and then a party escort will come and take you to your party. So that's what the "party escort submission position" thing is at the end of the game.

  Great video! Would love to see a part 2! <br><br>And just so you know, Portal 2 changes the way your camera turns once you go through a portal, so it would hopefully make you feel less nauseous.

  Various fun facts, spoiler free for Portal 2 (unless you want to discover if these things are pointed out in Portal 2 or not, in which case I&apos;ll add some extra room just in case)<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>.<br>- The original ending was actually changed shortly before the release of Portal 2. Originally, after landing in the outside world, the screen simply faded to black - no robot drags you away. The &quot;party escort submission position&quot; line is something GLaDOS says when she&apos;s trying to convince you to stop immediately after you avoid the firey death in the last test chamber, and was a minor meme when the game first released.<br><br>- The companion cube indeed could be replaced by a regular cube in its test chamber - that&apos;s because it originally WAS a regular cube during development. However, they found playtesters wound up leaving the cube behind after using it for the first puzzle in the chamber, so they decided to make the cube look unique and have GLaDOS talk about the cube a lot, to let the player know it was special and should be brought along.<br><br>- The leg supports were added to the player&apos;s character model when playtesters wondered how the player would survive the huge falls that portal jumping makes for. They&apos;re merely a sci-fi hand-wave for why the player takes no fall damage, lol

  Blind Portal is genuinely one of the best puzzle experiences out there in gaming. I played the 360 version back in the day without being spoiled I havent fallen in love with a game this hard until 2 came out.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbFfMuNfEuA&amp;t=103">1:43</a> The apparatus is not explained in-game, but name dropped once in portal two and there is an out of game in-universe advertising for it.<br><br>Basically, it&apos;s the in-universe excuse for taking no fall damage.

  Playing through Portal 2 should answer a bunch of the questions you posed at the end of this video. It&apos;s a much longer game that goes deeper into the lore of Aperture Science and the &quot;how&apos;s&quot; and &quot;why&apos;s&quot; of everything you encounter.

  The &quot;Apparatus&quot; on your feet are explained in one of many teaser trailers for Portal 2.<br>I highly recommend watching all the little Teasers before going into Portal 2 (because they are short, humorous, and If you want a bit of what it felt like when Portal 2 was announced, the teasers and reading up on the Portal ARG will put you in that mindset before you install Portal 2).
