Great advice. When I solo travel, I always take 2 phones. The main one in the hotel safe and the second cheap old phone I take out with me on the streets.

You guys need to go to Niteroi before leaving Rio! There are so many beautiful beaches in Niteroi, and my favorite is Itacoatiara.

A friend of mine is travelling all through Africa by motorbike and hasn’t experienced any problems, even leaving his helmet on the bike! Would that be the same in South America? Definitely go to Buzios, that was my favourite place in Brazil when I was there 😊
