In Kun Faya Kun, when the actor look at the sky and lost the flow of words for a moment is a very precious moment of the film. This song was dedicated to God as a prayer and respect and love. When the actor looks above, it wasn't actually staged, that came out of him. The director later told the team to keep the shot as it is. The actor himself admitted that at that point he felt some divine power in the middle of singing.

The reason you might find 'Jai Ho' familiar is because A.R.Rehman got Pussycat dolls to sing the english version of it

Kun Faya Kun is a verse from the Quran. It’s in Arabic and it means “Be, and it is”. Also, it’s not a temple but a Muslim shrine.

What you are calling an Accordion is actually a Harmonium, an Indian classical music instrument. And what you are thinking of as Bongo, is actually a Tabla.

The guy shown at 13:03 singing Vande Matram in white shirt is A R Rahman himself. 'Vande Mātaram' (meaning “I bow to thee Mother” in Sanskrit) is the National Song of India. This one is edited in his own version. National Anthem of India is 'Jana Gana Mana'

The vocal you listen to in 23:23 is not autotune it's a real voice which is combined with the voice of harmonium (Indian instrument) it is only achievable only when people practice with the harmonium
