I met David Sedaris over 20 years ago. He had graciously agreed to do five events over five nights as a fundraiser for Up on Top, a non profit in SF. This organization's mission is to provide after school and summer programs for underserved children. Every night was a packed house! He was so sweet and kind to everyone. I will forever be grateful for his generosity of spirit.

His stories are more integrated now and less topic dependent, less joke dependent, he just keeps getting better

I still remember reading "Me talk pretty one day" and getting sad when I finished, it was so well written, so natural, I still read this book at least once a year. David Sedaris is just brilliant

I went to a DAVID SEDAIS perform and I gave him a 4 notebook paper paged letter I wrote to him without saying a thing but just staring at him because I was so "star struck"....he heavily sighed while giving me a disgusted look and jumped up and put it in his satchel behind himself. I was LAUGHING SO HARD INSIDE AT HIS RESPONSE..................IT MADE MY DAY!!

Love how David whipped out his notepad when Dax shared the tips on how to deal with baggage handlers.
