Back at Meridiani-07, WATT powers the communications room as Matt and Hannah search the frequencies for any trace of humanity. Then a human voice breaks the silence. An old satellite broadcasts an evacuation order: all remaining humans must leave for Proxima Centauri b. The announcement claims that the Aeterna has arrived and a colony has been established. WATT recognizes the signal, but cannot remember where he heard it. Above Mars, the observers compare the recording with the records of Matt’s rescue. They found his capsule among the Aeterna’s wreckage. Now a human voice claims that the same ship reached its destination. Matt finally has somewhere to send a call for help. But the restored antenna can only receive. Is someone still waiting on Proxima—or is the satellite repeating a promise from a world that is already gone? 🔴 Full archive, episodes in order & merch: https://redplanetnotes.com The last man on a dead planet is recording his life. Matt Wally is humanity's archivist, waking up after thousands of years of flight—somewhere he was never meant to be. Instead of a new world, he finds a dead Mars. Instead of people, only silence. He records to stay sane. To leave proof. So that someone, someday, will know how humanity ended. This series is about survival without heroics, loneliness, memory, and culture. About the ruins of progress and the mistakes of the future. The camera is his only companion. The logs are his legacy. MATT WALLY: LAST MAN RECORDING Welcome.
